The Spooky Florals Collection

 

"Spooky Florals"  is a body of original acrylic collage paintings by Salem artist Gwyn S. Marathas, drawn from folklore, botanicals, and Salem’s lingering spells.

 

The collection first took root after Gwyn’s move to Salem, after inspired by this single painting, which evolved into something quietly addicting. These works are said to dwell within "The Peculiar Greenhouse", tended by the garden fae Simon, a place where time pauses and plants grow…oddly.

 

These peculiar botanical portraits, at once alluring and unsettling, carry a soft, watchful magic. As the collection continues to grow,  "The Peculiar Greenhouse" emerges in select Salem-area  marketplace events...from time to time.
